I have to admit that Nokia is a company for which I feel a special affection. My first cell phones were Nokia for many years until the advent of smart-phones in which the company declined until it almost disappeared. And I must admit that they were high quality mobiles.

Nokia is still going, but it has nothing to do with what it was before, and has concentrated on its mobile communications technology to sell communications systems to mobile operators around the world. And for now they survive.

This is the new Nokia logo.

And I suppose that this change of Nokia has to do with transmitting a new image of the company that obtains most of its income from telecommunications business, but not from the sale of mobile terminals to the general public. Although it still sells some Android-based phones.

Nokia is one of the few telecos located in Europe (along with Ericsson) and is still active in the 5G communications business, and I expect it to be for a long time, and then 6G and beyond.

As a European I want technology to be developed here, and not have to depend on other companies across the ocean.

I wish Nokia a long life.
