New product to cover skin burns
People who suffer burns on the skin, have to endure a slow and painful treatment to cover their wounds and later perform the necessary cures.
I have read in a technical magazine about the existence of a nano-fiber product that is placed on the wound with a special machine (not very bulky) and that deposit a protective film on the wound that replaces the bandages.
It has been developed by the Israeli company Nanomedic with the collaboration of European doctors, it is being tested in some German and English hospitals, and they call the device SpinCare.
The apparatus contains a solution of the micro-fibers and projects them onto the wound to be protected, whatever its size. Then a protective and almost transparent film is formed on the wound that allows the wound to breathe to see its evolution and simplifies the cures.
The idea sounds great to me and is another example of the great possibilities that nanotechnologies offer us today.
Hopefully the tests will be positive and these methods will be extended as soon as possible. Patients will appreciate it.
