How to get higher power chips

This is what Princeton University has announced in one of its publications. They have indicated that they have developed a method to be able to multiply by 10 the power supply to high-speed processors through a more compact and efficient design.

This is of great interest to almost all businesses since today everything is based on this type of processors, both for mobile phones and for computers and servers that are used continuously.

That is why it is very logical that the people of Intel and Google have participated in the development. They both have the utmost interest in the subject.

Today processors work with distances of 4 nanometers, and a huge number of components (several million transistors) and calculation processes are concentrated in a very small space, and this generates heat. The increase in temperature reduces the calculation speed, and if it increases in excess the component (the chip) is damaged.

That is why it is so important to place cooling devices on them (any computer we have at home can be seen inside), so that the temperature does not exceed a certain value. It can be said very simply that “heat” is the element that “kills” electronics.

And these Princeton researchers have modified the internal way components are placed on the chip, to make it capable of supporting 10 times more power in the same physical space.

Therefore it could perform calculation 10 times faster and consuming less power. Quite an achievement for an industry that moves the world today.

This is a first publication based on some prototypes, which within a certain time (a few years) will be put on the market, and we will all benefit from it.

I think this is good news for everyone.
