In recent years, the emergence of electric vehicles has revolutionized the automotive landscape. Beyond their environmental advantages, these models are positioned as an increasingly safer option for their occupants, challenging some myths and offering innovative features that redefine driving protection.

Electric cars benefit from a reinforced structure to house the heavy batteries, which results in greater chassis rigidity and better shock absorption.

In addition to this, the low location of the batteries reduces the center of gravity, providing greater stability in curves and sudden braking, minimizing the risk of overturning.

By not having an internal combustion engine, electric cars eliminate a potentially dangerous element in the event of a head-on accident. The absence of this heavy block at the front frees up space for the vehicle structure to deform in a controlled manner, better absorbing impact energy and protecting occupants.

In addition, electric models come equipped with the latest active and passive safety technologies, such as stability control, lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking and state-of-the-art airbags, minimizing the risk of accidents and protecting occupants in case of accidents. collision

Electric cars are subjected to the same rigorous crash tests as internal combustion vehicles, and the good results guarantee their safety.

Independent organizations such as Euro NCAP give the highest safety ratings to numerous electric models, demonstrating their high level of protection for occupants in the event of an accident.

And all of this also has a physical explanation, since the dynamics of the crash dictate that, in a collision between two vehicles, the heavier one has a clear advantage because it does not brake as abruptly, a factor strongly related to the risk of injury to the occupants.

In conclusion, electric cars not only represent a sustainable alternative for the environment, but they also emerge as an increasingly safer option for their occupants in the event of a crash.
