The capabilities of Artificial Intelligence continue to develop and there are people who are looking for new applications. And one of them is the possibility of writing a book. Why not ?

According to UNESCO data, more than 2 million books are written in the world each year, although very few come to being best sellers and obtaining good economic income for writers.

The profession of writer has hardly changed for a long time, with the exception that now most write with a computer and can correct their writing in an easier, and above all, cleaner way.

If we look a bit, in most books are included some (or many) characters, each one with their personal characteristics, to shape a plot that the author has drawn up beforehand.

And as there are always people thinking of proposing new ideas, someone has come up with the possibility of writing a book with the help of technology. The application is called Lynit, which is currently in beta version and is free, but in the future it will be paid.

In this application the “writer” defines the parameters that he wishes to include in his book, the characters, the plot he wishes to develop, etc…. and since I have not tried it, I suppose that the “system” writes the book for you.

Based on the results achieved, the starting points are modified to be able to modify the book, until the writer is satisfied.

At the beginning the system will be quite rudimentary, but I am sure that with time someone will enter this market and provide better technical means to obtain better results.

It is very difficult to replace people’s creativity, but there are already “programs” that write articles in some newspapers. Everything is a matter of time and “deep learning” for the machines to improve their results.

Time will tell.

I prefer to read something that has been thought by a person and that somehow is transmitting part of his thoughts to me. It is a form of communication between human beings that I sincerely hope is not lost.

I have no intention of reading a book written by a machine, although I suppose they will never tell us that.

In my case, the reflections on my blog are written by myself and without any help.
