A massage robot

I have seen something that I thought would take time to happen, and that is to see a robot giving a massage to a person. Innocent of me, I thought that robots were going to take time to replace certain manual tasks that people do today, such as giving massages to people.

My mistake was not taking into account the speed of advances that occur in all areas, including robotics, and especially the help that AI can provide to any task, such as massage.

The fact is that I have seen a robot performing a massage on a person. Said robot has 3D vision capacity, pressure sensors to adapt and apply the appropriate pressure to the person regardless of whether that person makes any movement with their body.

The robotic arm with 7 degrees of freedom is called Flexiv’s Rizon 4 , and can be seen in the photo above. The robot can be indicated the type of massage to perform and the area where you want it.

It has AI help and is capable of perceiving the location of the spine on its own, to be more precise in its massages.

A video can be seen at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DcnPnpRa0hg

The great advantage of these systems is that the robotic arm never gets tired, distracted, or sick, or…. and over time its benefits will be improved and expanded.

Another human job that within a certain time will be done by machines. Something to think about.
